As part of my year as a Kroc Fellow, I worked as a reporter for Kansas City Public Radio. While there, I reported and produced spots and features. My story on Kansas’ new abortion laws aired nationally. I served as a weekend newscaster and contributed to KCUR’s two talk shows. Here’s a selection of my best work from that three-month rotation.
I spent a good portion of my time in Kansas City working on a longform radio story about a housing project in Kansas City, KS.
The full radio story can be found here, as the first 13 minutes of the Central Standard talk show on housing policy.
A shorter version of the same story, with additional web content can be found here.
And a timeline of events (there are a lot!) can be found here.
